Part two??? Parttwoparttwoparttwoparttwo! #spongebobrefrence So yes, part two. After we finished up a few rolls of film at Gibraltar Bluff, we drove over to Governor Nelson State Park to get a few “beachy” pictures. I had every intention of getting some nice sunset pictures on the beach but as we were driving from Lodi to Waunakee I just sat in the car watching the sun set behind us. Yup, wait for it, here comes another #photogfail. I had totally messed up the distance between the two locations and by the time we got to the beach the sun had already mostly set. Oooops.
But I’m not one to give up easily and since I had the dress, the models, and the location I figured what the hell let’s just roll with it and see what we can create. I did shoot the whole session at a very slow aperture and had Carissa and Dave move around a lot so I was able to get those blurry artsy images I love oh so much. In hindsight, I should have pushed my film by a stop or two so that my images weren’t too muddy or grainy but hey, learning is fuuuunnn. Once again, Carissa and Dave were amazing troopers and had no complaints as they ran back and forth all over the dirty beach and braved the murky lake water and incessant bugs. I can’t guarantee a smooth photographing experience with me but I can guarantee that you’ll leave with a damn good story. You’re welcome.
