I’m so excited to share all these images from Ashley and Evan’s wedding because honestly, this wedding goes down in history as the prettiest wedding I’ve ever photographed. Last year when Ashley contacted me via email, inquiring about my prices and sharing her vision for her wedding, I knew I was one lucky gal when she officially hired me. She had shared a styled shoot that she had photographed herself (because she is too, a kick-ass artist) and I just knew this wedding was going to be memorable and downright beautiful.
What I didn’t realize was how beautiful the love between her and Evan was as well. As I watched Evan’s face during the first look and their interactions together and with their precious dog, Auggie, I was smitten with how lovely these two humans are. Even during their engagement session, I was just smitten by how they looked at each other and the special smiles and love that they reserve for only each other. Their whole wedding was the perfect representation of who they are and what they love individually and together. And not to mention how picture perfect it was!
The whole wedding took place at Camp Sturtevant, a place that was very near and dear to Ashley. While we stood in the long line of pine trees, photographing Ashley and Evan’s first look and then the bridal party images, I couldn’t believe how stunning everyone looked. Honestly, they all looked like angels with the beautiful dresses and flowers. It was like something out of a dream. The reception area was filled with beautiful picnic tables that were lined with gorgeous floral centerpieces and lovely calligraphy name cards by the amazing Kace Styles. During the ceremony, I got to photograph and listen as the people that are the closest to Ashley and Evan, talked about their love for them. I especially loved the funny stories and quirks that each person brought to their speech and the laughter that rang throughout the ceremony.
The day continued on with an amazing breakfast for dinner and a donut wall that Evan had built for Ashley. We watched as Ashley and Evan and their family and friends killed it out on the dance floor before ending the night in the most perfect way with a sparkler exit. The amount of time and dedication that went into this amazing day was unbelievable. After the night had ended, Rhonda (my lovely aunt and assistant) and I drove back to the hotel we were staying at, cracked open a bottle of wine, and spent the entire night talking about how amazing the wedding had been. Overall, it was such a memorable day spent with such amazing people that I will forever be honored to have documented.
