Halloween is officially over which means all the ghost spider and cobweb decorations are finding their way back into storage. For the longest time, as soon as Halloween was done, we would immediately switch over to our Christmas decorations.πŸŽ„ But as I’ve matured into a healthy adult, we’ve been trying to find a way to hold off on the Christmas celebrations until at least mid-November. πŸ˜‚

The transition between Halloween and Christmas can be a tough one to decorate since a good portion of our decorations is spooky pumpkins and skeleton heads. πŸŽƒ But over the years I’ve made sure to incorporate a few neutral pieces that can help bridge the gap for Santa’s arrival! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite autumn decorations that stay up during that transition stage between Halloween and Christmas.

  1. Harvest Wreath: I hope your front door is ready to get super festive! I’ve been on the hunt for a good wreath that isn’t too over the top and I love this one from Target. The past few years we’ve had a wooden sign that hangs on our front door and when the wind blows it knocks against our door, sending our dog Edgar into bark mode. πŸ˜‘ Now it’s time to upgrade to something a little more gentle and the fact that this little wreath lights up is a fun bonus!
  2. Fall Tea Towels: These are the perfect way to add a little autumn spice to your kitchen! I love to hang mine on the handle of our oven or on the handle of our refrigerator door. They also are a great way to add the season to your bathrooms. We always have different hand towels in our main level bathroom for each season along with some festive soap from Bath & Body Works.
  3. Farmhouse Pumpkins: I’ve been searching for the perfect centerpiece for our dining room table for so long. I saw this image on Pinterest a few years ago I’d been searching for the perfect green pumpkin centerpiece. I ended up finding a real green cinderella pumpkin at Whole Foods one year but at the end of the season, I had to throw it out. So when I walked through Walmart a few weeks ago and saw this farmhouse pumpkin centerpiece, I swooped it up immediately. It looks so dang cute alongside a plaid runner and fabric pumpkins.
  4. Leaves 3-Wick Candle: Bath & Body Works is pretty much my best friend around this time of the year. The scent “Leaves” is my absolute go-to. It’s not overpowering but the perfect amount of fresh and spicy with scents of apple and clove. I always have a few stored in our upstairs closet. We also love the “Pumpkin Apple” and “Autumn” scent!
  5. Buffalo Check Pillow Cases: I love pillows, they are such an easy way to make a room festive. No matter what the season is, we always have pillows that match our decorations. And the great part about these pillows is that they are cases so you can just cover up the regular pillows that you use and interchange your covers based on what decorations are out and about in your house. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! πŸ‹
  6. Woven Throw Blanket: Just like pillows, throw blankets are an easy neutral way to add a little autumn to your room! I always have two or three throw blankets during every season on our couch. Mostly because I have several family members who like to steal and fight over throw blankets so having extra is crucial. πŸ˜…
  7. Felt Pumpkins: These little pumpkins are so adorable and the second I saw them in-store at Target, I immediately threw them into my cart which seems to be a reoccurring issue that happens when I step foot in that store. Anyone else?? πŸ– I have them placed on our dining room table alongside the green and white Farmhouse pumpkins on top of a plaid scarf.
