I walked the pathway up to the little brick house and knocked on the door. The door swung open reveling Chia from KC Love Photography as she warmly welcomed me into her future home. I walked inside and noticed the graceful sets all around me. An antique gold bed on my right with a white wood backdrop covered with streams of greenery, on my left. I walked straight ahead into the kitchen area and introduced myself to all the new faces and said hello to the faces I already recognized. We talked about shooting film and being creative in the wedding industry while enjoying a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres. We continued to make light conversation while we eagerly awaited for the model to arrive and the shoot to begin.

For me, the intention of this shoot was to showcase the delicate and feminine part of boudoir and combine so many amazing talents in order to achieve this outcome. As a photographer, I was drawn to the small intimate details of Ashley, our model. The delicate curl of her hair, the elegant drape of the lace over her skin, or the gentle outline of her lips. When I went in to take a shot I wanted to make sure that I was documenting and creating graceful and intimate photographs. I didn’t want a lot of posing but more natural movements. The home we photographed in was being remodeled and I enjoyed being able to see this unfinished home shine, proof that beauty can genuinely be found anywhere as long as we have the right perspective to see it.
