I remember meeting Mai Ka at a coffee shop in Madison after messaging back and forth on Facebook. She had first contacted me in regards to film photography, wanting to learn more about this amazing craft. Shortly after chatting about film and photography over coffee, she ended up hiring me to do an anniversary session for her and her husband. Over the past few years, Mai Ka has been a wonderful friend and has ended up in front of my camera several times and helping me with my Coffee Musings project. So when she messaged me asking if I wanted to photograph her maternity images, my answer was an immediate yes.
This session was amazing. We might not have been blessed with beautiful golden sunshine but who needs a sunset when you have two of the cutest individuals in front of your camera!? Mai Ka and Yia looked beautiful and I was so honored to have been able to document this moment for them and I can’t wait to meet their little girl when she comes into this world!
