Just like Apple Picking, taking a visit to Treinen Farms Pumpkin Patch has been a yearly tradition for us ever since the girls were babies. π We first started going to this farm when we discovered their corn maze and that you could do the maze at night with flashlights! π¦ The first few years we ended up doing the nighttime corn maze by ourselves but as the girls have gotten older, theyβve been able to join us on this adventure.
The past two years, finding the perfect day to go to the corn maze and farm has been tricky. π¬ The weather here in the Midwest is always so unpredictable and with all the rain weβve had over the past few years means the farm and corn maze is muddy and hard to walk through. π§ This year we ended up planning our trip to the farm and pumpkin patch perfectly, on the last day for their season!
For the pumpkin patch, one of my favorite parts of the trip is the pictures we get during the whole adventure. π· The farm usually has a wooden cart filled with pumpkins that we get pictures in front of but this year they moved the cart to another area of the farm, so we ended up taking images with a different propβ¦ leaves!! π Movement shots can be risky on film, but I was determined because everyone looked so dang cute and the light was fantastic. These images just scream fall and I ainβt mad about it! π
I know this is always said, but these moments are so precious to me. π I know that my girls will grow up and remember all the traditions and yearly activities that we did as a family. Growing up, nothing seemed consistent, ever year was vastly different from the previous whether we were in a new state, I was in a new school, or certain family members were absent so I spent so much of my life wanting to have roots π± and stability for my own family and these are those moments that I know will stick with my girls. π
